Laser Grinder

The Laser Grinder® is the world’s most advanced laser-guided floor grinding system, specifically designed for the precision grinding of both new and existing floors. This system allows floors to be upgraded to the exact flatness standards required for the safe and efficient operation of VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) forklift trucks.

Advantages

Continuous Innovation: With a dedicated R&D department, Perfector continues to enhance the Laser Grinder® system. Each time the machine returns to the Head Office for maintenance and servicing, it undergoes fine-tuning and upgrades, ensuring it remains at the cutting edge of floor grinding technology.

Clean Process

The Laser Grinder® uses a wet, vacuum-enclosed grinding process that is entirely free from airborne dust, making it clean enough to work alongside fully stocked racks in sensitive environments, such as food and pharmaceutical storage facilities. The hydraulic drive and vacuum systems are powered by a lean-burn diesel engine, and the cleanliness is further ensured by a catalytic converter that reduces exhaust emissions to negligible levels. The Laser Grinding process is so clean that Perfector has completed numerous contracts in live pharmaceutical and other sensitive warehouse environments.

Flexibility

The Laser Grinder® can easily operate in freezer stores, even in sub-zero temperatures, with only minor modifications. Perfector has successfully completed many freezer store contracts with the same high-quality results. The system is entirely self-sufficient, with no need for power cables or water pipes in the aisles. It operates in one aisle at a time, allowing emergency stock retrieval during the grinding process. Once grinding is completed, the floor is immediately usable.

Compliance with International Standards

The Laser Grinder® can meet or exceed the following industry flatness standards:

Grinding Profile: The Laser Grinder® does not necessarily grind completely flat from one end of an aisle to the other, as this would often require excessive grinding depth. Instead, it follows the existing floor profile, utilizing allowable longitudinal slopes as specified by the required flatness standards.

Disadvantages of Manual Grinding

Manual grinding equipment often causes several issues when attempting to upgrade floor flatness in narrow aisles. These machines are less precise, potentially leading to uneven surfaces that compromise VNA truck performance and safety.

Problems with Overlays in VNA Aisles:

Using overlay materials to upgrade floors in narrow aisles can also cause complications. It is important to understand the potential problems overlays may present, especially when considering long-term durability and flatness standards.

Perfector’s Laser Grinder® offers a superior solution with its clean, flexible, and highly precise grinding technology, ensuring floors meet the highest international standards for VNA operations.
